The Medics of the Ddafad Wyllt (Wild Wart / Rodent Ulcer), lived at Pen-Y-Graig for more than 100 years. Three Generations of the Griffiths family practiced the treatment of this form of skin cancer / epithelioma.
The facts about the healings carried out by the Griffiths family are well documented however the recipe for the ointment and plaster used to treat the Ddafad Wyllt remains a well guarded secret until its was eventually given by Mrs. Jean Hughes Jones to the St. Fagans Museum in Cardiff where it remains.
